# Add course items to collection

# Add course items to collection {#ariaid-title1}

After you create a collection, add course items as groupings of courses that are
orchestrated within ServiceNow®.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_lc.learning_admin, sn_lc.learning_course_catalog_admin

Create a content collection. For more information, see [Create a content collection](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/WK62csz2XbuUqlzJqYxpkg "Create a content collection in Learning Core to dynamically group learning content that includes multiple internal and external courses.").

## Procedure

1. Navigate to LearningContentCollection.
2. Select the collection that you want to add course items to.
3. On the Course Collection Items tab, click Add.
4. On the form, fill in the fields:

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Collection | Associated course collection. |
   | Course | Course item to be added to the selected collection. |
   | Order | Order that defines the start of a new section. All learning courses that have order greater than this defined order will be displayed under this section. |
   | Mandatory | If it is mandatory for the course item to be added to the collection. |
