## What to do next

Both an appointment window configuration and a service configuration mapping are required to create an Appointment schedule. For more information on service configuration mappings, see [Create an Appointment service configuration mapping](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/lv~fgpsKY2vtO_Wnwhe00Q "An appointment service configuration mapping contains the service configuration, service configuration rule, and territory for use in an appointment schedule.").

If a service configuration mapping already exists, see [Create an Appointment schedule](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/lc3wbFI4JVZJN5n3ofnfaw "An appointment schedule represents available slots as defined by its appointment window and service mapping configurations. Appointment schedules can be overridden for specific dates or slots to allow custom availability or capacity.").
