# Workbench Engagement Setup

# Create an engagement from Audit Workbench {#ariaid-title1}

The Engagement Workbench provides a timeline view from which you can select an audit
engagement to view details or create a new engagement. Audit managers create engagements
directly from the Workbench to manage audit information and collect entities, controls, and
control tests that are relevant to the audit.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_audit.admin or sn_audit.manager

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllAuditEngagementsWorkbench.
2. Click Create Engagement.
3. On the form, fill in the fields.

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Name | Name of the engagement. |
   | Engagement lead | User assigned to the engagement. |
   | Description | General description of the engagement. |
   | Objectives | Objectives of the engagement. |
   | Fieldwork planned start | Intended date the activity should begin. |
   | Fieldwork planned duration | Expected duration of this activity. As with actual duration, the planned duration shows total activity time and takes the activity schedule into consideration. |
   | Engagement planned start | Date that work on the engagement is expected to begin. |
   | Engagement planned end | Date that work on the engagement is expected to end. |
   | Auditors | Auditors assigned to the engagement. |
   | Approvers | Approvers assigned to the engagement. |

4. Click Create.
