Business Continuity Planning (BCP) helps you enact and mitigate risk at the time of an
event by addressing action items such as plan assets, activities, recovery teams, documentation,
policies, and procedures.

BCP consolidates all the data needed for managing business continuity and disaster recovery
plans in ServiceNow AI Platform®. It organizes a catalog of enterprise data into a single
system of records. Instead of creating records, you can simply select the required data. Creating
plans then becomes simple and effortless by taking advantage of the existing information and
arranging it in a logical association of data for recovery.
Figure 1. Business Continuity Plan workspace overview

The program manager, planner, and viewer get a custom workspace to work on, which presents them
with the current status of plan-related activities. The workspace is a secure portal to open the
plans that are available for access to the user with a particular role.

You can build your plan within a single user interface with the ability to open a plan tab to
complete a task. You can move on to the next plan task to add, delete, or update the details of
the plan.
Figure 2. Business continuity planning workflows

With comprehensive action plans in place for different possible disruptive scenarios, and a
dedicated team with responsibility to act quickly at the time of a loss scenario, your
organization is equipped to face a crisis or any adverse
situation.
