# Configure loss scenarios in the plan

Configure a plan for an identified loss scenario by using the loss scenario template in the Business Continuity Management application. Use the documented plan that has the needs and requirements listed for a potential disaster.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_bcm.admin, sn_bcp.plan_admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to Business ContinuityGeneral AdministrationLoss Scenarios.
2. Select New.  
   The Loss scenario form is shown in the example.

3. On the form, fill in the fields.  
   For more information on the fields, see [Loss Scenario record form](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/Zis_I~zqRO5cs3tebPfL9w "Use the Loss Scenario record form in BCM UIB Workspace to configure a plan for an identified loss scenario.").

   The example shows the details of a loss scenario.

4. Select Submit.
