## Configuration Steps

* **Installation:** Install the Business Continuity Management application from the ServiceNow Store. Installing related GRC applications automatically installs BCM Core and Components.
* **Role Assignment:** Assign users with required BCM roles such as BCM administrator, BIA administrator, and BCP administrator to perform respective setup and administrative tasks.
* **Application Setup:** Perform administrative configurations including setting up business impact analyses, business continuity plans, and assigning BCM leads directly within the BCM UIB Workspace forms.
* **Template Formatting:** Customize PDF templates for business impact analyses, business continuity plans, and events to suit organizational requirements.
* **Relationship Configuration:** Configure 360° relationship registries and views to map interdependencies critical to continuity planning.
* **Notification Setup:** Integrate and configure Everbridge notifications to ensure timely communication during incidents.
* **Crisis Map Setup:** Configure the Crisis map for real-time situational awareness during continuity events.

## Additional Considerations

* Administrators should review and complete specific setup tasks detailed for system administrators to ensure a comprehensive configuration.
* UI customization requires attention: Both BCM classic Workspace and BCM Configurable Workspace utilize the Workspace view. Any customizations made in previous UI views must be reapplied or migrated when upgrading to the Zurich release.
* Refer to provided knowledge base articles for detailed guidance on custom component configurations and migrating reports or custom changes to the latest workspace.

## What This Enables You to Do

By following these configuration steps, ServiceNow customers can effectively establish a robust BCM framework within their organization. This enables streamlined business impact analysis, continuity plan management, crisis response coordination, and ensures notifications and visual tools like the Crisis map are operational for rapid incident management.
Configure the Business Continuity Management application to perform the business continuity tasks for your organization.

Configuring Business Continuity Management involves installing the application from ServiceNow® Store and setting it up by the administrators.
Note:
If you have the BCM role, you can perform the setup tasks that are described in this section.

* Install the Business Continuity Management application from store. For more information, see [Install Business Continuity Management from ServiceNow Store](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/2f9E1s3T6txMdV4rCWh14A "You can install the Business Continuity Management application if you have the admin role.
