# Perform any object assessment in the Risk Workspace

# Perform any object assessment in the Risk Workspace {#ariaid-title1}

Assess the risks on any object or record in ServiceNow®. An example
of object assessment is assessing change management or assessing a citation.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_grc.business_user

## About this task

To perform an object risk assessment, a prior knowledge of risk is not necessary. When you perform any object assessment in the Risk Workspace, you do not see the description of the risk and any reference information because the entire context of risk is not required. You can configure the risk assessment button in the object record and start the assessment. ## Procedure

1. Navigate to my AllRiskRisk Workspace.
2. Select the task ![Task icon.]() icon.
3. Under My pending tasks, under Advanced risk assessments, open the object risk assessment assigned to you.

   | Choice | Description |
   | Start assessment | Select this option if you want to proceed with the assessment. |
   | Reassign | Select this option if the assessment must be assigned to someone else. |

4. If you select Start assessment, respond to the assessment questions.

5. Select Save.
6. If you have configured risk response in your risk assessment methodology, select the appropriate risk response strategy and click Define risk response.
7. To send the assessment for review, select Review and submit.  
   The assessment home page is displayed. You can review the summary of your assessment.
8. To request approval, edit assignment, or reassign, select one of the following. Request approval.

   | Choice | Description |
   | Request approval | Select this option to send the assessment for approval if an approver is specified. If you select this option, you can provide additional comments for the reviewer. |
   | Edit assignment | Select this option if you want to modify your responses in the assessment. |
   | Reassign | Select this option if the assessment must be assigned to someone else. |
