# Request repair of defective enterprise assets {#ariaid-title1}

As an enterprise asset manager, you can get the defective enterprise assets repaired by creating Repair orders.  
You can request repair of defective hardware assets through any of the following options:

Note:  
Consider the following points when you create a repair order:

* You can't request repair of the following assets:
  * Consumables
  * Assets that are part of any other workflow

* You can request repair of a child asset only if you have added its parent asset to the repair order. However, assets in the pallets can be repaired.
