# Request asset repair from Service Catalog

# Request repair of hardware assets using Service Catalog {#ariaid-title1}

Submit a Service Catalog request to repair hardware assets that are defective or pending repair in your stockroom.

## Before you begin

Role required: asset

## About this task

You can request repair of multiple defective hardware assets in your stockroom using a single catalog request.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllService catalogAsset LifecycleAsset Repair.
2. On the form, fill in the fields.

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Due Date | Date by which you want the defective assets to be repaired. |
   | Stockroom | Stockroom that has assets to be repaired. |

3. Select assets to be repaired.
   1. Select the Edit Asset(s) icon (![Edit asset icon]()).
   2. Select the assets from the list.  
      You can add one or more assets to the request.
   3. Select the Lock icon ![]().

4. Select Submit.

## Result

* Your repair request is submitted successfully.
* A repair order is created in the Draft stage.
* Each asset in the repair order is associated with a repair order line that is in the Troubleshoot stage.
