# Create resource assignments

# Create resource assignments in Resource Management Workspace {#ariaid-title1}

Create and assign resource assignments and operation resource assignments from Resource Management Workspace.

## Before you begin

Role required: resource_user, resource_manager, It_project_manager

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesResource Management Workspace.
2. Select the Resource cards icon (![Resource cards icon.]()) from the menu and open a resource card.
3. Create resource assignments using one of the following options.

   | Option | Procedure |
   | Create a resource assignment | 1. Select New or select New Resource Assignment from the more actions list. 2.    | Create operational resource assignment | 1. Select New operational Assignment from the more actions list. 2. 4. Select Submit.

## Result

Resource assignment is created. You can filter and view this assignment in the lower tray of Unassigned tasks.

An assignment made for a resource from the resource board must be within the selected date range. If so, it shows up nested under the selected resource in real-time.
