# Price list line

# Create a price list line {#ariaid-title1}

Create a price list line and associate it to a product offering.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_csm_pricing.pricelist_administrator, sn_csm_pricing.pricelist_manager

## Procedure

1. In the CSM Configurable Workspace, select the List view.
2. Navigate to PricingPrice Lists and select the price list to which you're adding the price list line.
3. In the Price List Lines tab, select New.
4. On the form, fill in the fields.

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Number | Unique system-assigned number for the price list line. |
   | Price List | Name of the price list. |
   | Code | System-generated alphanumeric number based on the price list name. |
   | Product Offering | Product to which this price list is associated. |
   | Unit of Measure | Unit of measure for the product. |
   | Base list price | Price set for the product offering, which is the full price that a product or service is sold for, without any discounts or promotions applied. |
   | Derived price | Option that enables derived pricing (also called related product pricing) for product offerings associated with this price list line. For more information, see [Configuring derived pricing](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/qDX7OgpVkkBQq3Er6CbeIA "Automatically set the pricing for a product by deriving its pricing from other products or pricing sources such as transactional values in quotes or orders."). |
   | Start Date | Starting date and time that the price list line is effective. Select the Calendar icon ![]() to choose the start date and time, then select OK. |
   | End Date | Ending date and time that the price list line is no longer effective. After this time, the price list line is no longer active. Select the Calendar icon ![]() to choose the end date and time, then select OK. |
   | Pricing Method | Type of pricing selected when the product offering was created: * Recurring: Payment fee that occurs over certain intervals. * Non Recurring: one-time payment fee. {#som-create-price-list-line__ul_x3v_nrz_y1c} |
   | Periodicity | Frequency of recurring pricing: * Monthly * Annually {#som-create-price-list-line__ul_y3v_nrz_y1c} |

5. Select Save.
