Generate a document summary by using Now Assist in Document Management

  • Generate a document summary to get quick insights into key information from documents by using Now Assist in Document Management.

    Before you begin

    Configure the Smart documents skill. For more information, see Configure the Smart Documents Skill for Now Assist in Document Management.

    Role required: sn_nowassist_admin.nsa_admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to your workspace.
    2. In the list section, go to the table that has the Smart documents skill activated and open the record.
      For example, an incident record.
    3. Open the attached document to view it in the document viewer.
    4. Generate a summary of the document by selecting Ask Now Assist.
      Note:
      The Summarize button is now integrated into the Ask Now Assist button.
      This gives the option to generate document summary with extract key insights.
    5. Optional: Copy the summary by selecting the copy icon copy icon.
      The summary is copied and can easily be shared across emails, reports, or collaboration tools.
