Connect to an API creation tool from API Insights

    • Initiate API creation directly from the API Insights workspace by connecting to an external API design tool of your choice.

    Before you begin

    The application administrator must configure an API creation tool. See Configure settings to manage APIs in API Insights.

    Role required: sn_api_insights_ws.api_mgmt_architect

    About this task

    Search for an existing API in the API Insights workspace, and if no matches are found, initiate API creation directly from the workspace.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > API Insights.
    2. In the Search APIs text box on the Overview tab, enter the name or keyword of the API to search for and select Search.
    3. On the Search results page, select the APIs tab to view matching APIs.
    4. If no matching API is found, select Create API to start designing a new API.

    Result

    Based on the settings configured by your application administrator, the API creation tool opens, enabling you to create an API.
