Create a collaborative communication task from MIM workbench

  • Create a communication plan or add a new communication task to an existing communication plan to resolve a major incident from the major incident management workbench.

    Before you begin

    Role required: notify_view, or notify_setup_admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Incident > Major Incidents > Open.
    2. Open the relevant major incident.
    3. Select View Workbench.
    4. Select Collaborate tab.
    5. Select Add that appears in the Communication Tasks section.
    6. On the form, fill the fields.

      Field Description
      Task Short description

      Option to provide a short description for the communication task.

      Channels

      Option to choose the channel for communication.

      Select Conference.
      Frequency

      Option to select the frequency at which the task must be executed.

      A task can be executed only once or on specific durations.

      Due in (Minutes)

      Time span by when the task must be executed after the task initiates.

    7. Select Next.
    8. In the Manage Recipients tab, add the users required to be involved in the major incident communication plan.
    9. Select Add.
