Magic Johnson

Having left the basketball court for the boardroom, Earvin "Magic" Johnson has successfully parlayed his skills and tenacity from the court into the business world as Chairman and CEO of Magic Johnson Enterprises (MJE). MJE provides high-quality products and services that focus primarily on ethnically diverse and underserved urban communities.

Still a commanding presence in popular culture, Johnson made history in 2012 when he became co-owner of MLB's Los Angeles Dodgers. He also co-owns the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA, Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Football Club, and eSports franchise Team Liquid. He continues to expand his influence through his many businesses that include: EquiTrust Life Insurance Company, and SodexoMAGIC, a food service and facilities management company.

The Lansing native is constantly evolving and remaining relevant in a dynamic digital age by broadening his scope into infrastructure and technology. Through a newly formed fund, Johnson is investing millions of dollars on infrastructure improvement in the United States. He is also one of the leading investors in a number of minority-owned technology companies that include Uncharted Power, an award-winning power and data infrastructure technology company; ShotTracker, a company that makes wearable technology for basketball players that helps track player and ball movement; Jopwell, a diversity and hiring recruiting platform; Walker & Co Brands, a company that develops health and beauty products for people of color; and MiTú, the Latino-fueled media brand and digital network that connects thousands of Latin content creators with viewers around the world.

Hanna Storm

An award-winning journalist, producer and director, Hannah Storm is a pioneer in the field of sports broadcasting for women along with being a published author, an advocate for children suffering from debilitating vascular birthmarks, and most importantly, a mother of three. Storm joined ESPN in 2008 and currently serves as an ESPN SportsCenter anchor. She also leads the network’s coverage of significant events across the sports world such as the recent celebration of life services after the passing of NBA legend Kobe Bryant. She also previously hosted and executive produced ESPN’s primetime interview specials - In Focus with Hannah Storm and Face to Face with Hannah Storm - where she interviewed various newsmakers in sports.

In 2018, Storm made sports broadcasting history once again when she, along with veteran sports broadcaster Andrea Kremer, became the first female duo to call a NFL game as part of Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football. She also called NFL games for Amazon during the 2019 NFL season. Aside from ESPN and Amazon, Storm’s previous successful TV stints included CBS as host of The Early Show along with NBC Sports and CNN.

2008 proved to be a pivotal year in Storm’s career as she launched two impressive businesses – Brainstormin’ Productions and the Hannah Storm Foundation. Brainstormin’ Productions is a production company driven to create unique content including documentaries, short films and other branded content. Examples of past projects that have been praised by the film community include Danica – a documentary in conjunction with EPIX on racing superstar Danica Patrick that was honored at the New York Film Festival – and content projects for major brands such as Under Armour and Secret. The Hannah Storm Foundation was established to advocate for children and parents of children suffering from debilitating vascular birthmarks. Storm’s passion for this cause stems from her personal experience with it: she was born with a port wine stain underneath her left eye.
