Summary

Cloud Management Advanced is a three‑day course for students who have taken the Cloud Management Fundamental course and need to know how to customize and extend the ServiceNow Cloud Management Platform to meet the operational needs of the Enterprise.

Taking both the Cloud Management Fundamentals and Advanced courses will equip students with the necessary knowledge when attempting the CIS‑Cloud Management certification. 
Through lectures, demos, and technical exercises, students gain hands‑on experience with the following Cloud Management Advanced topics:

  • Advanced UI design
    ‑ Create multi‑tab requests
    ‑ Build dynamic request forms
  • Custom Resource Pools and Filters
  • Essential Runtime Expressions
  • Advanced Profiles
  • Advanced Policies
  • Extend Cloud Management with Cloud API
    ‑ Add functionality for Cloud Services not included in the Platform
    ‑ Create Resources Blocks
    ‑ Create new lifecycle operations
    ‑ Troubleshoot
  • Integration and Software Deployment, with Continuous Deployment Tools (Ansible)

Prerequisites

ServiceNow Fundamentals, Cloud Management Fundamentals. It is recommended that students taking the course have knowledge and experience of ServiceNow Cloud Management v2, the ServiceNow CMDB, Azure and/or AWS REST API’s, JavaScript, and JSON. It is also recommended that students taking the course have a strong understanding of architecting solutions within the AWS and/or Azure Clouds.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for ServiceNow System Administrators, Dev Ops Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Cloud Architects and consultants who implement and configure ServiceNow Cloud Management.

Certification

Following this course, ServiceNow recommends that attendees have at least two to three months of hands‑on experiences with ServiceNow before attempting the Certification Exam.

Further details regarding this exam, including an exam blueprint, can be found on the ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist page. Successful candidates will be awarded a “ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist” certificate.
