Interested in Being a Speaker for Ask the Experts?
Ask the Experts, hosted by Allen Andreas, is a live, interactive webinar series that brings together recognized leaders from across the ServiceNow Community including MVPs, Rising Stars, and experienced practitioners to share their real-world knowledge, lessons learned, and advanced tips and tricks.
This isn't about reading from documentation or rehashing basic training material. It’s about helping the community go beyond the status quo by offering insights you can’t find anywhere else from those who’ve been in the trenches and solved meaningful challenges on the ServiceNow AI Platform.
Each session includes a 35–40 minute expert-led presentation followed by 15-20 minutes of live Q&A with the audience. We also encourage community members to submit questions ahead of time to help shape the discussion. Sessions are recorded, edited, and published to the ServiceNow Community YouTube channel, where they continue to benefit others long after the live broadcast.
What We Look for in a Speaker
We’re looking for individuals who:
- Have real-world experience solving problems on the ServiceNow platform
- Bring unique insights, not just summaries of product docs
- Can clearly articulate lessons learned, successes, or pitfalls
- Are excited to share knowledge with a global community of practitioners
- Can tailor their presentation to stay within the 35–40 minute format, leaving room for live Q&A
You don’t have to be a polished public speaker, just someone with experience and a genuine desire to help others grow through knowledge sharing.
Topics That Work Well
Great sessions usually include:
- Real project experiences (the good, the bad, and the surprising)
- Tactical how-to guidance with context: "Here’s what we did, why we did it, and what we’d do differently."
- Innovative or underutilized use cases with ServiceNow products
- Perspectives that challenge assumptions or solve common pain points
- Advanced practitioner-level tips you don’t hear every day
Additional Tips
- Avoid generating your session with AI, make sure it has your tone and messaging
- Successful sessions have had a content ratio of 30/70 split:
- 30% - Explanation of product, feature, tool, etc. (this helps get everyone on the same page as we do have a diverse audience who attend these sessions)
- 70% - All "YOU" (this is where you really make the session unique, something people can't find anywhere else!)
- Bring your tips, tricks, lessons learned, challenges you've faced and how to avoid them
- Showcase your thought leadership and experience
- Talk about those random gotchas that surprised you
Ready to Pitch an Idea?
We’d love to hear from you! To be considered as a future speaker:
- Come up with a working session title
- Draft a short abstract (2–3 sentences) describing what your session will cover
- Include a short explanation of why this topic is valuable to the community
Then, send this info directly to Allen Andreas either by:
- Sending a private message on the ServiceNow Community Forum
- Or messaging Allen on LinkedIn
Let’s continue raising the bar together. If you’ve got hard-earned insights to share, Ask the Experts is the perfect stage to bring them to the community. If you have any questions about the Ask the Experts series, feel free to ask by posting a reply below.
Thanks and I look forward to collaborating with you soon!
Respectfully,
Allen Andreas

We've had a lot of people expressing interest in being a speaker for our Ask the Experts series! 😍
As a reminder, I highly recommend referencing the "Topics That Work Well" and "Additional Tips" sections in the article above as it will definitely help you craft your session and get you approved as a speaker!
Commonly, when people submit their session ideas, they're focused on basic product walk-throughs or overviews. Those are DEFINITELY useful, but for the Ask the Experts series, we really want to focus on unique and innovative use cases, things you can't find in documentation or Now Create material, and concepts and ideas that aren't AI generated.
So, think about your real-world experience with that product/tool/feature/topic:
- Are there any interesting or challenging use cases you can think of?
- Have you conducted lots of research on a specific component of it that others may not even know about?
- Have you written a white paper on a topic?
- Are you known as that "product/feature" guru?
- Have you completed so many implementations with it that you have an entire playbook and know many tips, tricks, common challenges, etc. and want to share how to avoid the same?
That's what we're looking for! Let's make your session unique and stand out from other presentations!
Feel free to message me with any questions you may have! I'm here to help!
