Hello @laurenmcman ,

Question 1:
How well did Developer Passport help you understand what's coming in the Australia release and how to use it? Which product are you focusing on most?

Answer:
Developer Passport was extremely helpful in understanding what’s coming in the Australia release and how to make the most of the new capabilities. The structured learning path, hands-on exercises, and release highlights provided clear insights into the new features, enhancements, and best practices. It helped me identify which areas of the platform will have the biggest impact on my work and how to prepare for them effectively.

I’m primarily focusing on Flow Designer and Automation Engine, as they play a key role in improving process efficiency and integrating with other systems. I’m also keeping a close eye on Next Experience UI updates and AI/ML capabilities, since they offer great opportunities to enhance user experience and deliver smarter workflows.

Question 2:
How do you prefer to learn and get help when building in ServiceNow, and how can the Community better support you?

Answer:
I prefer to learn and get help through a combination of hands-on practice, official documentation, and interactive community engagement. I find that experimenting directly in a personal developer instance helps reinforce concepts, while detailed articles and videos from ServiceNow provide the technical depth I need. When I encounter challenges, I turn to the ServiceNow Community to see real-world examples, best practices, and discussions from other developers and experts.

To better support builders like me, the Community could:

  • Highlight step-by-step solution guides and use-case-based examples for common development scenarios.
  • Encourage more interactive learning opportunities, such as live Q&A sessions and webinars.
  • Improve search and tagging so it’s easier to find relevant posts and verified answers.
  • Foster more collaboration between product teams and community members, ensuring early insights into new features and release updates.

Overall, I value learning that’s practical, collaborative, and directly tied to real ServiceNow development challenges.

Thanks,
SP
