Hey Community! Chuck here, and WOW, what a fantastic time we had at Knowledge 24 this year, capped off with an electrifying celebration at our 10th CreatorCon Keynote! Read on for my top moments, memories from the event, and, of course, all the selfies. And this time, there's a twist – keep reading to find out how your input on my selfies could win you a $25 gift card! (Please note this contest is now closed).

The 10th CreatorCon
This year, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of CreatorCon in grand style. It was a vibrant festival of innovation, where developers and community enthusiasts from around the globe gathered to ignite their creativity and push the boundaries of what’s possible with ServiceNow. The energy was contagious, the ideas revolutionary, and the spirit of collaboration was the true star of the show. We debuted our new developer brand (including a new bow tie for me) and you all responded very positively.

HackZone Highlights
No visit to Knowledge is complete without a trip to the HackZone. A fan-favorite, as always was bustling with energy and innovation. We saw everything from AI-driven mixology robots to the advanced IoT garden that manages itself. It’s these imaginative applications that demonstrate just how versatile the Now Platform can be. You could say it’s like stepping into a tech wonderland!
The Community Spirit
“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” – Maya Angelou.
What I felt most at Knowledge was love. Whether it was the MVP dinner on Monday night, every selfie that someone asked for, or the roar of the crowd when Lauren and I were on stage – that’s how I felt and I hope you did too!
From impromptu discussions to scheduled meetups—and yes, plenty of selfies—interacting with you all is what energizes me the most. Every selfie and every conversation adds up to the rich tapestry of our community. Notably, I loved meeting our Meetup organizers and MVPs!

When I think about Knowledge, and specifically CreatorCon, it’s difficult for me to remember that it’s a work conference about software. My brain thinks of it as a chance to get together with friends to learn, laugh, share, and grow. Some of you have come halfway around the world to be part of this event and I can’t thank you enough. There were huge groups of people from Germany and Japan, and I can’t count how many Brazilians stopped to say hello. I even ran into a couple of people from Lithuania, where my son-in-law is from. I jokingly asked, “Do you know Grantas?”. Of course, I knew the answer was no, but it was a fun encounter anyway.

The CreatorCon Keynote
Hosting the CreatorCon keynote alongside Lauren was an honor and likely the highlight of my career. This year, we didn't just talk about the future; we showed it. With dynamic demos, insightful discussions with our MVPs, and a celebration of The Devvies App of the Year winners, we highlighted the tangible impacts of our community's innovation. You can watch it again anytime and even join me on a backstage tour to get a sneak peek at some of what it takes to put on an event like this.

I never made it to see Pitbull, but fortunately, he came out to see us for this fun group shot during the concert (wink, wink).
The level of fun everyone brought to Knowledge this year was amazing. There was even one person who did a cosplay of Bill McDermott. You all are so amazing.
Selfie Contest – Guess to Win! (Now Closed)
Now for some fun! Every year, someone asks me, “How many selfies do you get at Knowledge?” I felt bad because I could never answer that question – it could have been 30 and felt like 3000 – I don’t know. This year, I kept track from Saturday, May 4th through Friday, May 10th. Now that I have a number, can you guess how many selfies I snapped during the big event? Drop your guesses in this survey link, and the closest guess wins a $25 USD gift card (our legal guy tells me I have to say terms & conditions apply here). Enter before June 30th to be eligible! Let’s see who knows their selfie game!

No purchase is necessary. Chuck's Selfie Challenge 2024 is open only to individuals at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. The Challenge begins June 6, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time ("PDT") and ends on June 30, 2024, at 11:00 p.m. PDT.
Entrants must respond to the above-linked Qualtrics survey in this blog post.
The prize includes a $25 USD Gift Card. Gift Card selection is subject to ServiceNow Community Team and may vary depending on your country. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $25 USD.
The ServiceNow Community Team reserves the right to access email data provided by the entrant to reach out to individuals who have completed the challenge. Entrants who have met the guidelines and successfully guessed closest to the number of selfies taken by Chuck in the challenge will receive an email from ServiceNow with instructions on how to redeem the prize. International country restrictions will apply.
