Pushing dynamic monitoring content to your on-premises NOC displays

Abstract:

Disappointed with the current landscape of products for commercial NOC video walls, they built their own. 
We used the power of ServiceNow to adjust the content pushed to our on-premises data center monitoring displays to:
  * Dynamically change screens based on rules and ITOM Event Management alerts
  * Push relevant content to the target display on demand 

This session will describe our implementation which includes the target client as a Windows application that accepts RESTful JSON content and renders it on the screen. Its settings are stored in ServiceNow, classified by Wall Target / Layout / Source. The Source is usually a URL, but can also be a video stream (VNC, WebEx, RTSP, etc.).
