There is a newer version available for this content: "Yokohama EA (Early Availability) family release now available!

Hi there,

Just fresh, as of a few minutes ago... the Xanadu EA (Early Access) family release is available! Get a feel for what's new in the Xanadu release, what's been altered, etcetera. Upgrade your Personal Developer Instance (PDI) and dive into the new release 😀.

Did your company enroll for the Early Access program? Then you will be able to upgrade company instances.

Upgrade Personal Developer Instance

Might you be less known about how to apply an upgrade on your instance, like the Xanadu release or the latest Patch, here's a short how-to:

- Login to the Developer site
- If you already have a Personal Developer Instance:
-- Under the "Your Instance" section (visible after clicking your profile icon on the top right), select "Upgrade instance". In the popup that appears you will see all available options to upgrade your Personal Developer Instance.
- If you don't have a Personal Developer Instance:
-- Just request one for free!

Upgrade Personal Developer Instance or start fresh?

Personally, I take this moment to wipe my Personal Developer Instance and to start with a clean Xanadu release instance. Re-provisioning your Personal Developer Instance will take some time and effort if done manually. Have you read about my Blog series on specifically this topic, to provision your PDI quicker?

That's it. Have fun with the Xanadu release!

Hi @Mark Roethof

Thanks for your article! I wouldn't have known Xanadu's been released for PDIs otherwise 🙂

Would you happen to know if there a way to test out Servicenow IDE on PDIs?

As of right now it seems to be only available as a ServiceNow Store application, which you can't really install anything from on PDIs.

I've checked the Activate plugin section on developer.servicenow.com, but I can't find anything related there.

The All Available Applications module on the PDI itself also doesn't return any direct hits in its search results. I've tried going page by page, but that's also given me nada.

@JeremiP For now that's not possible on PDIs. Who knows, perhaps in a few weeks or months.
