Abstract: Regrettably, email is the most visible aspect of the ServiceNow platform. Therefore, we wanted to add more clarity, visibility and actionable content to the notifications to provide value to our customers. The overhaul was focused solely on content and enhancing one module at a time. We created efficient subject lines showing the recipient exactly what occurred without having to open the email. The end result with less IT jargon improved overall communication with our customers. The technical solution leveraged Email Layouts, Templates, Email Scripts, Script Include and in-line styling.
