Abstract:
Having viewed a breakout session in K15 from Levi Strauss & Co, the Expedia Group IT Service Management team was motivated to build similar functionality within their CMDB to expose the logs from Discovery in a way that enables support teams to evaluate success and troubleshoot errors. Reading the individual results of the key probes, this "IP Forensics" process digs deep into the xml and extracts out the success and error data, and populates a table for easy viewing and relating to CIs within the CMDB. This session will show you how Expedia Group is using this data; it also showcases the value of attending breakout sessions and bringing back ideas to your own teams.
