I spoke with Anthony Okumura today after his presentation on Demand Management to let him know how cool I thought his product was. After 20 years in IT Service Management and Operations, I can say Demand Management was one of the most difficult and politically charged aspects of my job. At the core, I think people know that not every ask of IT is going to be delivered. However, when that ask goes into a black hole, and the business has no visibility into the progress of their request, that's when things get dicey. Worse yet, sometimes legitimate requests get lost in someone's inbox and never even get considered.
