Discovery Issue with servers that have multiple IP addresses.   Discovery keys on first IP discovered and ignores DNS resolution to hostname.   Looking for suggestions.

Has anyone figured out a way to have discovery resolve the primary IP address based on DNS resolution of 'hostname' of discovered server.

This is primarily happening on Linux servers that have multiple interfaces.

Steve,

Unfortunately not but we have other ways to work with this situation...

First you can set trusted name source for SSH (Discovery definition > properties), this way the hosts name itself will be the CI name.

Look at the DNS table where we do resolve all the IPs found on the system.. Let me know if that helps..
