Hi all,

Just wanted to provide this information for those of you who may miss the email that was just sent out:

The Orlando release is here, so it’s time to get ready for your delta exams!

The Orlando delta exam window is from March 26, 2020 through June 24, 2020. Be sure to pass your exam(s) on or before June 24, 2020. Delta exams are only 10 questions or less - and you can take them on your own time - no testing center needed. Just login to Now Learning at https://nowlearning.servicenow.com/lxp when the delta window opens to get your exams done.

Be advised that there is an examination "blackout" window that usually occurs every March and September as ServiceNow releases the new platform versions. If you have an exam scheduled during this blackout window, your exam will be automatically cancelled. It is my recommendation to NOT schedule any examinations during March or September...or at the very least wait until the blackout window is announced for that month, then schedule around it. Here's an example of the blackout statement for March 2020:

**ATTENTION: We are currently in the exam blackout period from March 11-March 26, 2020. During this time, our team is hard at work making the transition from the NY exam versions to the updated Orlando versions. **

Also keep in mind that there is talk of moving to a paid format for deltas in the future. Looks to be around the Paris release (so possibly this Fall), but I have heard that they are looking at charging a $100 annual maintenance fee (which I think is reasonable) and that allows for unlimited deltas (for as many certs as you have)

Hi Allen, - I wrote my CIS-HR exam yesterday and passed - yay. But I cannot write my Orlando Delta. It says that I must have an At Risk certification status (see below). Since this was my first exam, and I am "new", I am very worried that I am missing something and that my certification might expire tomorrow. Am I missing something? Should I look somewhere else? My one colleague insists that I need to write the Delta.

Thanks for your help

If you do have an active cert, create a case to Now learning support who will fix it from backend so that it allows you to enroll for delta course/exam. The Orlando delta window ends tomorrow so make sure you followup with the case asap.

Hi,

Congrats on passing your exam!!

You already took your exam under the "Orlando version", so there is no Delta for you to take.

Delta exams are only for those who were previously certified before the Delta was released.

So you have nothing to worry about until September when Paris version comes out 🙂

Please mark my article above as Helpful, if it was.

Thanks!

Thanks, @nitinbabar. Now I know how to create a case. Luckily I don't have to write the Delta.

If you have not passed the exam and have to wait 24 hours as of today, will you still be able to take the delta or will you have to retake the Admin Exam again? @Allen A

Hi,

Per the Delta exam blueprint located here: https://www.servicenow.com/content/dam/servicenow-assets/public/en-us/doc-type/other-document/delta-...

I would assume that if you did not pass the delta by the end of the day on June 24th, then you will lose your certification. So if you had attempted it, like just now today, but failed and needed to wait the 24 hours and those 24 hours pushed you past the 24th, you would lose your certification.

You will have to check it tomorrow and see.
