Create a content category to tag news articles.

About this task

Content categories organize news articles and make them easier to find. When you create a content category, the system creates a page in the News Center to display all the news articles tagged with that category. A news article can be tagged with one or more content categories.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to All > Content Publishing > Re-usable Components > Content Categories.
  2. Click New.
  3. Fill in the following fields:

    Fields Description
    Name Name of the content category.

    The name is what you select when you add the category to a Content template or News article.

    Active Make the content category available for use in Content templates or News articles.
    Order Where in the Category list widget this category appears in relation to other content categories, with the smaller value appearing higher on the list. If there are multiple categories with the same order value, the system lists them in alphabetical order.
    Description Optional description for the content category. This field is only visible to other content admins.
  4. Click Submit.
