Request a 30-day trial of an app to test its functionality in a non-production instance.

Before you begin

You must be logged in to the ServiceNow Store with your Now Support account credentials.

Role required: none

About this task

You can request a 30-day trial of any app that includes a Request 30-day trial option in its listing details. The trial enables you to install the app on your non-production instance for evaluation.

If you decide to install the app on a production instance after evaluation, return to the ServiceNow Store and purchase the app or request the necessary license. For more information, see Buy a ServiceNow application or Buy a partner application.

Procedure

  1. (Optional) On the ServiceNow Store listing details for the app or integration, select Request 30-day trial.

Trial approvals are granted at the app provider's discretion, and trial requests expire after six months. If your trial request isn't approved, you can make a new request after the first request expires.

To contact a seller about a trial request, see Contact a seller.

  2. If no approval is required or if you already received approval, navigate to the ServiceNow Store app listing details and select Start 30-day Trial.
  3. Select Manage entitlements to choose which non-production instances can install the application during the trial period.
  4. Select Save

Result

The app is entitled and available for installation on the non-production instances you have selected within 24 hours. If the application isn't available from the Application Manager within 24 hours, contact Now Support for assistance.

Confirmation emails for the application and any dependencies that were procured are sent to the email address associated with your ServiceNow Store account. For information about configuring which email address receives notifications for this application, see Configure ServiceNow Store application notification preferences.
