Assigning tags
You can assign tags to records from the form or list view. You can also add tags to a homepage. Tags enable you to group and organize the items.
The list view provides multiple ways of assigning tags. You can assign tags with inline field editing, the action menu, the context menu, or the edit tags icon.
Note:
Tag names are case-insensitive and must not include punctuation.
Assign a tag from the list view using inline field editing
You can assign one or more tags to a record directly from the list view.

Procedure
- Navigate to a list.
- Personalize the list to display the Tags column.
- Click in to the Add Tag field.
- To assign an existing tag, begin typing the tag name and select the tag from the list.
- To create a tag, enter a new tag name.

You can assign one or more tags to a record using the action menu in a list.

Procedure
- Navigate to a list.
- Select the check box beside one or more records.
- Select Actions on selected rows.
- Scroll to the Assign tag listing.
- To assign an existing tag, select the tag listed.
- To create a tag, select New, enter the tag name, select the sharing level, and then select Save.

- Select and hold (or right-click) a record.
- To assign an existing tag, select .

- Enter a new tag name and select the appropriate sharing level.
- Select Save.
