Keyboard shortcuts

  • The keyboard shortcuts provided with Indoor Mapping allow Map Studio administrators to quickly perform common administrative tasks by using keys in the Map Studio.

    Before you begin

    Role required: map admin, map editor, map editor limited

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Map Studio.
    2. Select a campus.
    3. Click the help icon (icon for showing the keyboard shortcuts list) to display the list of keyboard shortcuts available.
      You can also use cmd + : (Mac) or ctrl+: (Windows) to display the keyboards shortcut list. Press esc to close the dialog box.

    4. To display the keyboard shortcuts for Directions click the help icon (Help or question mark icon) available on the top right pane of the Map Studio.
      • Toggle draw mode; cmd + m (Mac) or ctrl+m (Windows).
      • Save all updated graphs: cmd +s (Mac) or ctrl+m (Windows).
      • Stop drawing: Press esc (Mac) or Esc (Windows).
      • Delete selected items: When a node or route is selected, press fn + delete (Mac) or Backspace (Windows).
    5. To display list of shortcuts for Places:
      • Create a new place with a point: cmd + i (Mac) or ctrl + i.
      • Create a new polygon: cmd +p (Mac) or ctrl +p
      • Edit a selected place: cmd +e (Mac) or ctrl +e (Windows)
      • Save the selected place: cmd +s (Mac) or ctrl +s (Windows)
      • Cancel the create a place process: esc (Mac) or Esc (Windows)
      • Delete a selected place: fn + delete (Mac) or Backspace (Windows).
