Proactive Prompts for managers

  • Recommend actions to managers based on collected data and best practices, help managers understand team insights, and guide them with next steps. Enable managers to act on potential issues proactively.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_mh.manager_hub_user

    Ensure to activate Proactive Prompts application from ServiceNow Store.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Employee Center > Your team > Manager Hub.
    2. In the Suggestions for you and your team widget, work on your actionable items:
      Table 1. Insight-based suggestions
      Suggestion Description
      Support your new Hire Displays employees who are new hires. Support them better.
      • To mark the suggestion as complete, select Complete.
      • To dismiss the suggestion, select Dismiss.
      • To send an email to the new hires from your outlook, select Email Employee.
      Encourage work-life balance Displays employees who haven’t taken a time off. Encourage work-life balance for your employees.
      • To mark the suggestion as complete, select Complete.
      • To dismiss the suggestion, select Dismiss.
      • To send an email to the employees from your outlook, select Send Reminder.
      • To open a KB article that has details on encouraging work-life balance, select Learn why its important.
      Support your employees with learning Displays employees who haven’t taken up their assigned learnings. Check if they need time to focus on.
      • To mark the suggestion as complete, select Complete.
      • To dismiss the suggestion, select Dismiss.
      • To send an email to the employees from your outlook, select Ask if they need help.
      Help your employee grow their career Displays employees who haven’t had a job change in a while.
      • To mark the suggestion as complete, select Complete.
      • To dismiss the suggestion, select Dismiss.
      • To learn about career conversations, select Learn about career conversations.
    3. To set your preferences on the display of prompts:
      1. Select the Menu icon in the Suggestions for you and your team widget.
      2. Select Manage Preferences.
      3. Turn off the prompts that you do not want to view on the widget.
      Your preferences will be saved and the prompts that have been turned off do not appear in the widget the next time you login to the Manager Hub page. You can change your preferences at any given time.
