View neighborhood spaces on the floor map

  • Visualize and leverage the neighborhood spaces with interactive floor maps to easily identify unassigned and flexible neighborhood spaces.

    Before you begin

    Visualize neighborhood assignments for a building and a floor on the Floor map tab of a scenario. The application assigns a color automatically when assigning a space to a neighborhood. Each neighborhood has its own color. A space is expected to exist in one neighborhood.

    Note:
    Ensure that you are using Indoor Mapping as your map provider and Workplace Service Delivery application to view floor maps in a scenario.

    Role required: sn_wsd_spcmgmt.space_planner, sn_wsd_spcmgmt.scenario_reader (read-only; to view a scenario)

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to any one of the following locations:
      • All > Workplace Central > Workplace Central.
      • All > Scenario Planning > My Scenario Plans
      You can also open Workplace Central from the Employee Center directly. Navigate to Workspaces > Workplace Central.
      The Workplace Analytics dashboard opens.
    2. Select the Space Optimization icon (Space optimization icon.).
      The Space optimization dashboard opens.
    3. Select open a scenario that has neighborhood spaces and user allocation.
    4. Select the Floor map tab to view neighborhood assignments for buildings and floors.
    5. Select a floor from the Floor drop-down list.
    6. The right panel shows the Space details and View options for a selected neighborhood on the Stack plan.
    7. In the View Options, you have the following two options:
      • Edit Scenario: You can only edit a scenario using the Edit Scenario options.
      • View Scenario: View scenario details like unassigned users, allocated spaces, and available spaces on a floor.
    8. To edit space allocation in a neighborhood, edit the following attributes for a scenario.

      Field Description
      Group by All Neighborhood on a floor is available for you to edit in a neighborhood scenario.
      Actions Zoom in the floor map. For a selected floor,when you select a space on the map, Actions menu is activated. From the Action list, select and edit the following options:
      • User Assignment: Select the user from the User assignment list.
      • Allocation: Select the following options:
        • Change allocation: Change space allocation for a neighborhood. Select a neighborhood from the Neighborhoodlist.
        • Add allocation: Add space allocation to the neighborhood. Select a Neighborhood to which you want to add the spaces.
        • Remove allocation: Remove space allocation. If a space is already allocated, the Remove allocation option is displayed.
      • Assignment type:

        • None: The assignment type is set to None by default.
        • Flexible: Space is a flexible workspace. A flexible space assignment type is identified on the floor map by icon(Permanent space assignment type icon on Floor map)
        • Permanent: Space is a permanent workspace. The permanent space assignment type is identified by icon(Flexible space assignment type icon on the floor map)

      Select Apply after making the required changes.

      Selected Space <name> Space details, for example, space count, capacity ratio, total capacity.
      Assignment If a user is assigned to a space and if the space is added to a neighborhood, the employee is assigned to a neighborhood.

      Assign to

      Select a floor to assign users to new spaces. For example Floor 3 to Floor 4. Select Apply.

    9. To view a scenario, select View scenario and view the following attributes on the Stack plan:

      Select Neighborhood to view neighborhood allocation details.

      Assignment You can view the following details in the Assignment section:
      • Profiles assigned. Number of workplace profiles that are assigned to the neighborhood scenario.
      • Assignment ratio of assigned users and allocated spaces in a neighborhood.
      • Unassigned spaces are available in a neighborhood.
      Floor Select and select a floor, for example, Floor 3 to see allocated and unallocated space details.
      Neighborhood Available neighborhoods on a space and unallocated spaces that are available on a floor.
    10. Change the display options on your floor map using the map settings gear icon (Floor map gear icon image).
      • Assigned to
      • Assignment type

      Select both the options or either of these options.

    11. Select Apply to save the changes.
    12. Review changes and updates done to a scenario.

    13. Publish a scenario.

    14. After publishing, select the Send for approval tab to approve the scenario.
    15. Navigate to All > Scenario Planning > My Scenario Plans.
    16. Search for your scenario.
      You will notice that the scenario State is Approved.
