Configuring DEX Application and Device Health

Explore guidelines on setting up Application and Device Health for web/SaaS and installed applications. Understand how to add applications and make modifications or removals from the monitoring system.

Before setting up and using Digital End-User Experience (DEX), it is essential to ensure that the system meets the minimum requirements to guarantee optimal performance. For more information, see DEX system requirements.

To setup Application and Device Health and begin exploring the workspace, you need to complete specific configurations. The following steps outline the key configurations.

1. Install Application and Device Health.
2. Create ACC registration key.
3. Install Agent Client Collector for DEX - Windows using a one-line installer or Install Agent Client Collector for DEX - Mac using one-line installer.
   • If you want to install ACC on Windows and Mac manually, see Install the Agent Client Collector on a Windows machine manually or Manually install Agent Client Collector on macOS. Ensure you configure MID-less ACC before proceeding to the next configuration step.
   • If you have a MID-based ACC, you need to convert it to a MID-less ACC. For more information regarding conversion, see Convert MID-based ACC to MID-less ACC.
4. Enable DEX browser extension for monitoring web/SaaS applications.
5. Onboard for Application and Device Health.
6. Explore Application & Device Health interface.
