Create a product capability and associate it with a business application

    • You can create product capabilities and associate them with business applications in the Enterprise Architecture Workspace.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_apm.apm_user

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Enterprise Architecture Workspace.
    2. Open the Portfolio List view by selecting the Portfolio icon (Portfolio icon).
    3. Select the expand row icon (Expand Row icon) next to Application Portfolio.
    4. Select Business Applications.
    5. Select the business application that you want to create and associate new product capabilities to.
    6. Select Product capabilities.
    7. To create a product capability and associate with the business application, select New.
    8. In the Create New Product Capability page, fill in the form fields.
      For field information, see Create new product capability form.
    9. Select Save.

    Result

    The product capability is added to the business application. Also, the associated Product Capability Maps and Capability Relationship Maps tabs are displayed for the product capability. Product Capability Maps and Capability Relationship maps available as related list to the product capability.
