ServiceNow: The number one Great Place To Work in the UK
The verdict is in: ServiceNow is officially the number one workplace on Great Place To Work UK’s Best Workplaces 2024 list. Out of 350 companies in the large company category, we’re thrilled to have taken the top spot.
In Ireland, we were once again certified as a Great Place To Work, coming in at number 12 in Ireland’s Best Workplaces in the large company category.
These accolades are reflective of our commitment to cultivate belonging, support career ambitions, and make a positive impact in our communities. The majority (94%) of employees say ServiceNow is a “great place to work”, compared with 54% of employees at a typical UK-based company.
To celebrate and provide a closer look at life at ServiceNow, we’re exploring some of the things our employees like about working at the company.
Commitment to our people
At ServiceNow, everyone from senior leadership to entry-level hires is united behind the same goal: to make the world work better for everyone. Simon Morris, area VP, UK & Ireland at ServiceNow, sums it up:
“This win is truly an honour—especially because it’s based on feedback from our own employees. I’m so proud of our incredible culture, fuelled by an unwavering commitment to help all employees live their best lives, do their best work, and fulfil their purpose together at ServiceNow.”
We’re thrilled to also see that pledge reflected in the survey results. One employee stated: “I believe that all levels of leadership agree that the best way to deliver for customers is to empower their employees.”
Opportunities for personal development
Part of our aim at ServiceNow is to foster a culture in which everyone—no matter their role, experience, or background—has room to grow. We do this by providing regular progress check-ins and performance reviews and promoting internally whenever possible.
This hasn’t gone unnoticed by employees, with 85% agreeing that “promotions go to those who best deserve them” within the company.
We also provide additional training, growth tasks, and other workplace support. Our employees called out benefits such as being able to expand their knowledge and close skills gaps through bungee assignments within different departments, as well as having access to courses and talks.
Focus on wellbeing
Prioritising the continued wellbeing of our employees is a huge area of focus for ServiceNow. To encourage a healthy work-life balance for our teams, we offer regular wellbeing days throughout the year. These give all employees the day off to unwind in whatever way suits them, be it spending time with loved ones, trying a new hobby, or taking time to relax.
We also pride ourselves on our ongoing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Through dedicated employee belonging groups to support women, minority groups, parents, and others, we’re constantly working to ensure our employees feel safe, included, and supported.
These efforts to maintain a positive work environment were also called out in the survey. One employee stated: “I’ve never worked in such a caring and collaborative environment where everyone is accepting and supporting of each other’s needs and abilities.”
