Relating Major Incident or Incident to Change Request

When a change request causes a major incident, is it best practice to JUST relate the major incident or should you relate the both the major incident AND all child incidents?

It seems obvious to relate just the major as the child incident will subsequently have a relationship to the change, but I'm curious as to what is best practice for reporting and tracking.

It depends on level of information one would see , better way would be looking at the major incident only .
