How can I enable file upload in a ServiceNow AI Agent conversation Chat?

I’m currently building a ServiceNow AI Agent and I want the user to be able to upload a file (document) during the conversation.

My challenges:

• I don’t see any option to allow file/attachment upload directly in the AI Agent chat.

• Ideally, the user should upload the document in the chat window, and then the agent (later) can process it for extraction or validation.

• And also is that Agent can automatically Extract the data without Document task ?

• I’d like to avoid building a lot of custom tooling if there’s a standard way to do this.

Thanks for the suggestion. The file upload feature works in Virtual Agent (VA), but the button disappears as soon as the Agentic AI workflow begins.

This seems to be some platform level issue, try raising a support case with ServiceNow..
