Hi everyone,
I’m trying to configure outbound email in my PDI to send mails to my Outlook account, but the emails are not being delivered even though the Test Connection shows Connection Successful.
Here is my configuration:
Server: smtp.office365.com
Port: 587
Connection Security: STARTTLS
Authentication: Password
The connection test popup shows success.
However, the email logs show the notifications stuck in send-retry-delayed, and no email reaches my Outlook mailbox.
Screenshots for reference:
Has anyone successfully configured Outlook/Office365 SMTP on a PDI?
Is there any additional setting needed on the Outlook/Microsoft side, like App Passwords or SMTP AUTH enabling?
Any guidance would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @snowcrazy
I believe email sending from PDI's is disabled, even when you configure the settings but to spam concerns. Please see this article that shows it may be possible with Gmail: https://www.servicenow.com/community/developer-forum/solution-how-to-configure-email-account-in-serv...

@Kieran3 @is correct. Email sending was disabled on PDIs about 5 years ago because unscrupulous people were using PDIs to send truck loads of spam.
Thanks for nothing spammers! You're the reason we can't have nice toys. 😠😠
