I would like to get some real life examples of how things are stored according to CSDM. What are the things to consider when deciding if something should be treated as technical service offering, or application service or something different, etc. So some tools/tipps and tricks for planning how to store a landscape in servicenow following CSDM.

ServiceNow to present:

Status attributes for assets (Hardware Assets, Software Entitlements) and Configuration Items.

• Asset State (install_status)
• Asset Substate (substatus)
• Configuration Item Status (install_status)
• Configuration Item Hardware Status (hardware_status)
• Configuration Item Hardware Substatus (hardware_substatus)
• Configuriation Item Operational Status (operational_status)
• Lifecycle Stage (life_cycle_stage)
• Lifecycle Stage Status (life_cycle_stage_status)

Especially the usage of CI Install Status (install_status) for Servers and Personal Computers in SAM Pro (maybe also in other modules).
In our case this is the only one not in sync with the others (exactly how it's stated in the picture from ServiceNow in their knowledge base).

ServiceNow health check for SAM is telling us that this is an issue (maybe they mean the Asset State what is technically named install_status).
ServiceNow support is also not able to provide an exact answer.

Would be interested to get some more insights, especially cross module and way forward with Lifecycle Stage Status as promoted to be the one to replace all the others (roadmap, cross module).
