New to Tampa

Hi!

I'm brand new to the community and just wanted to introduce myself. I live in St. Pete and have recently decided to embark in a new career in tech and have started working on my CSA with ServiceNow. If anyone has any advice or lives locally and would love to meet up, I would love that! Or if anyone can share any advice here that would be wonderful too!

I would also love to get together with others in the ServiceNow space that are local to the Tamp Bay area! I live in Carrollwood, Tampa and work fully remote as a ServiceNow dev on DoD contracts. I can tell you @C_Stuempert , that switching over to tech (and ServiceNow specifically) 2 years ago was one of the best decisions I ever made. It's fun to work a job that has you problem solve and learn new tools regularly while also giving your life extreme flexibility with a remote role. Studying for certs is challenging and can be stressful, but it will definitely be worth it! Send me a message, and I'd be happy to share with you my experience and any advice I have.

Good morning everyone and welcome @C_Stuempert to the community!

The quarterly SNUG is great for showing new/upcoming features and demos from other developers, but it would be awesome to get together at some point as a local group for more of a discussion/conversational meet up and build more of a knowledge-sharing in-person community.

I work for Moffitt Cancer Center as their ServiceNow Architect. I recently moved from Tampa to Ocala because I'm fully remote, but am back in the area monthly for on-site days.

Looking forward to getting to know you all better!

I too live and work in Tampa, so for me to drive all the way to Orlando for a SNUG meeting is just not beneficial.  It would be awesome if we had one here in the Tampa Bay area as well...  Hope that happens.

I live in Land O Lakes and finished the NextGen program on April 03rd.
On February 29th, I attended the SNUG in Orlando and it was worth the drive.
Last week I attended #KNow24 in Las Vegas, and am now looking for my first role in the ServiceNow ecosystem.

All: Great to hear everyone's interest. We have a ServiceNow Dev Meetup in Tampa, usually meets quarterly. TerrieB who also replied helps coordinate the meeting and arranged super space at the Tampa Intl Airport for us to meet.

Am surprised Terri didn't plug the Dev Meetup? TerrieB?! 😁

Search Meetup for our group and join. It's free, and SN picks up the food and beverages.  Sadly though, we may be going to Virtual/Zoom, unless we can get more folks to attend in person, which really are better for getting to know each other better. Mike Cook. mcook@grcintegration.com
