Not able to get/link a value in Data Broker Server Script/ data Resource - UI Builder

Hello All,
I am using UI Builder to update something in the backend.

I have a UI builder modal on a Workspace. It has dropdown.

I have created client state parameters to save the value:

How to link it to : data broker server script.

Update: I was able to resolve it by setting the mappings  in the button-> events.
