Activity Notification(Email) is not being sent internally.

I want to send Activity Notification(Email) to System Administrator. So, I triggered the Life Cycle Event to automatically send an email to the System Administrator. However, as shown in the screenshot below, the notification was not received. The notification trigger settings appear to be correct, and I also confirmed that Email sending enabled is checked under System Mailboxes > Email Properties. I'm not sure what the issue could be.

Did you check if it's also enabled in the preferences?
And why use 'system administrator' for this. If there is one account you should never use as a test account, it's the admin account.
