Can i learn SecOps after ITSM or Do i need to complete CMDB?

I have 5 years of IT experience I haven't worked on service now,
But i want to shift my career plan to service now, I have covered ITSM(CSA) topics & started giving interviews
But the expectation was not only ITSM when i say 3years experience on service now.
Interviewers are expecting any other Module HRSD/CMDB/SecOps

what's the best module to go next and easy to learn any suggestions🙂

All three mentioned modules are very demanding.

If you interested on security part - Go with SecOps

• Go For SecOps Fundamental course :Security Operations (SecOps) Fundamentals 
•  Once You are ready - go For  mainline exam:  Certified implementation specialist – security incident response(CIS-SIR) 

Else 

Go for CMDB

• Go Through Fundamental Courses:

      Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Fundamentals On Demand

Common Service Data Model (CSDM) Fundamentals

.Introduction to CMDB Workspace

• Then go for Mainline exam CIS-DF

In general I think it’s based on your preference according to what you would like to work with. When that is set… CSDM DF is in general good to have a provide s great fundamental understanding on the CMDB in general.

Being a SN trainer I can feel the pain. As I said to my students, SN is getting bigger, wider and deeper and the market is changing so fast and company looking for resources who has at least 2-3 modules experience.

So ITSM will not work alone here, you need to build the portfolio, you can go any direction like SecOps you said or you can pick GRC , SAM , CRM etcs but make sure what you pick you get the understanding, now learning course are free of cost do the learning and do labs, spend time on community and see what other are asking in same domain that will give you practical examples.

So move forward and smash it. Good luck.

Also to add CMDB is based for all course as SN say one platform one data model, so along with specific products you should learn CMdB and CSDM get the understanding which helps you understand the model of data.
