Flow Designer for catalog items

I've been experiencing recurring issues with Flow Designer not functioning as expected for catalog items. When I add an "ask for approval" action and attempt to set the stage as "waiting for approval," the stage isn't displayed in the flow. Also, there are instances where the approvers fail to appear on the approvers tab. This problem seems to revolve around stages and "ask for approvals." Aside from these issues, the flow works correctly. For flows involving approvals, I have to resort to using the Workflow editor.

In flow designer, You need to create stages manually attached is the image.

I've done this, but if I add an if statement, like if these conditions are met, then ask for approval, then set the stage the same way you have demonstrated here, it works 50/50.
