As the team behind CreatorCon, our combined Knowledge attendance count is in the 50’s. Our Community team has been around the block (and the Expo floor).
Today, we’ve pulled together our best tips to help you have an incredible CreatorCon experience. From practical packing advice to hydration hacks, this is the inside edge you’ll be glad you got before arriving in Vegas.
Let’s talk shoes
- Bring the shoe game! Show off your personality — but break them in beforehand!
- Swap to P.M. shoes. Have day shoes and switch to fresh ones before dinner to reset your energy – and your foot cramps.
- Your shoes aren’t good enough. No, really — get recs from folks at REI who stand on concrete floors for 8+ hours a day and then climb mountains in their free time.
- Insoles are a must.
Stay hydrated (for real)
- Bring a refillable water bottle. You’ll thank yourself.
- Drink 2x more water than usual. Vegas is sneaky dry. It is the desert, after all.
- Electrolytes and Emergen-C. Pack them. Use them.
- CVS runs are part of the experience.
Plan your experience
- Don't overload your schedule. Leave space to explore, network, and have fun.
- Set daily goals. 3 new friends? Learn about Agentic AI? Define your takeaways.
- Make a people list. Prioritize catching up with folks you only see once a year.
- Block out time to recharge. Quiet breaks = survival.
Personal must-haves
- Moisturizer, face mist, lotion. It’s dry. Seriously. Remember how we said it’s the desert.
- Chapstick + sunglasses. Even if you think you won’t need them.
- Snacks + Advil. You never know when you'll need them.
- Portable phone charger. Essential.
Build real connections
- Use Community Collectible Cards. They’re a great icebreaker — scan and trade with new friends!
- Start with a compliment. Kindness goes a long way in sparking conversations.
- Everyone’s here to connect. And when in doubt, come say hi to a Community team member!
- Use LinkedIn QR codes. Make networking easier.
Confidence hacks
- Try a power stance before you present. Science says it works.
- Breathwork helps too. Stay calm and focused.
Capture the memories
- Take lots of photos. Especially with new and old friends.
- Expo floor photos? Join the Hackathon — it’s open after hours, perfect for crowd-free shots.
- Make your bag stand out. Ribbons, tags, anything — avoid accidental bag swaps.
Random brilliance
- Szechwan Beef Noodle Soup at Noodle Asia. 10/10.
- Use a note-taking app. Capture session insights!
- Starbucks pro-tip: Have one person stand in line and order for the group.
- Wear something wasabi green. Because, why not?
