ServiceNow Playbooks

 

Playbooks got a serious AI upgrade in Australia. We covered how you can now embed AI agents directly into playbook steps (as either human-in-the-loop helpers or fully autonomous workers), plus the new nested and standalone playbook structure that finally solves the "update the same logic in ten places" problem.

ServiceNow Flows 

 

Flow Designer picked up some automation upgrades in Australia. We walked through AI agents running inside flows, Build Agent generating entire flow structures from natural language prompts, AI-powered execution analysis for faster debugging, and Flow History for comparing versions side by side.

AI Experiences, Part 1: UI Updates 

 

This one's for anyone who's ever wished ServiceNow acted a little more like Excel. We covered pinned columns, conditional field colors, rich text work notes, and list calculations in Workspace, plus the long-awaited drag-and-drop All Menu Configuration (goodbye, "order: 100, 200, 300").

AI Experiences, Part 2: New UI Interactions 

 

Part two tackled the "page ownership" dilemma in UI Builder. We introduced UI Interactions: reusable, encapsulated logic recipes you can build once and trigger from anywhere, without taking over an entire page just to change one button's behavior.

ReleaseOps 

 

If you manage deployments, watch this session. We covered Runbook Tasks, the new way to bring manual sign-offs, approvals, and one-off scripts directly into your ReleaseOps playbooks so the human side of your release process finally lives in the same place as the technical side.

Build Agent in ServiceNow Studio 

 

We closed out Australia with one of the biggest updates of the release: Build Agent officially landed in ServiceNow Studio, running on Claude Opus 4.6, with global scope support. That means the low-code crowd, not just the IDE crowd, now gets an agentic assistant that can plan, generate, and package entire apps.

What This Means for Brazil 

 

Australia was all about weaving AI deeper into the tools you already use daily: playbooks, flows, the UI layer, release management, and Studio itself. 

 

Brazil looks like it's picking up right where that left off. Build Agent Spec Mode, AI Agent Studio, and Intelligent Approvals are all making their Developer Passport debut this time around, alongside new territory like SDK & Fluent, Automated Testing, and Dev Sandboxes. If Australia was about bringing AI into your existing workflows, Brazil looks like it's about giving developers more direct control over building, testing, and shipping with AI in the loop from the start.
