Integration with Azure DevOps - questions

We primarily use Azure DevOps for source control but would like to expand on that. I found one project in ADO that was set up as an Agile project. We wanted to compare that project in Azure DevOps with that project in ServiceNow so I connected our ServiceNow Dev instance to Azure DevOps.

The project was discovered. The teams, areas, iterations, sprints and workitems were imported using the default table mappings. That all appeared to be successful.

In ServiceNow, I see the epic under Epics and the stories under Stories. However, the stories aren't connected to the epic
in ServiceNow; that is, epic field is empty in the story records that were imported from Azure DevOps. The stories are associated with sprints in ServiceNow which seems to match ADO but I was told that some of the states aren't matching up between ADO and ServiceNow.  Also, it doesn't look like any of the tasks were imported into ServiceNow. The information in ServiceNow for this project appears to be incomplete.

So, I'm not sure if I did something incorrectly or missed something or if the project was not exactly set up the right way in ADO. I guess I am looking for some guidance on this.

Thank you

Here is the list of plugins that were installed:

  • Agile Development 2.0
  • Agile Development Unified Backlog
  • Agile Integrations Common
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps Integration for Agile Development
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps Integration Commons
  • DevOps Change Velocity (installed DevOps Data Model, DevOps Integrations, DevOps Insights)
  • Scrum Programs

Thank you.

ok :).

Thank you.

Then I think the mapping of fields you showed are from the plugin:

  • Microsoft Azure DevOps Integration for Agile Development

We have been involved in an POC to integrate Azure Devops and we are assessing the best approach. This is a very good plugin but is only available through ITBM licensing which is limiting for us.

Thank you!

Hello, Can you please guide me how to connect the Projects in ADO to the projects in ServiceNow.

Mah, maybe you should try zigiops. It's a connector, no idea if you've heard it before. It helped us with the same integration before. you can transfer and sync any type of data - it's customizable.
