Edmonton Community SNUG has arrived!

I’m really excited to finally say this: Edmonton now has its own official Community Led ServiceNow User Group!

I’m John Lacanlale, and I’ll be helping get the Edmonton SNUG up and running. I’ve been looking forward to getting something like this started here, and it’s great to finally have a place for the local ServiceNow community to connect.

One quick note on the SNUG naming, because it can be a little confusing.

SNUG Live events are run with ServiceNow involvement. A local SNUG, like Edmonton, is community-led and organized around bringing people together to share ideas, learn from each other, and build connections in the ServiceNow ecosystem.

And this is a first for Edmonton, which makes it even more exciting!

We’re going to start with virtual sessions, so Edmonton may be the home base, but you absolutely do not need to be local to join us. If you’re part of another ServiceNow community and want to drop in, you’re more than welcome.

I want this to be useful, practical, and relaxed. We can talk development, architecture, administration, demos, lessons learned, platform strategy, interesting problems, or anything else the community wants to dig into.

If there’s a topic you want to hear about, something you’d like to present, or an idea for a future session, please share it. I’d love for this group to be shaped by the people who are part of it.

More details on our first virtual session are coming soon, and I’m really looking forward to getting this started with all of you.
