Hi Techies,
I am learning Legal Service Delivery in SNOW. I have created a legal request and now I want to promote a Legal Request to a Legal Matter. However, I am not getting the button 'CREATE MATTER' on Legal Request, as described in the documentation. Please can anyone guide me?
Also, the Assignment group permission field is uneditable. How and where can update it to make it editable?

Yes, read these steps in the on-demand course. However, my problem is that I am not getting the Assigned to Me and Create Matter buttons itself. I have logged in as an admin, so I guess it is not a role issue. Attaching 2 screenshots
1) How it should appear as per the documentation
2) How it is in my instance

Hi @Souful Isha ,
You must have "sn_lg_ops.legal_fulfiller" Role.
Please Note: As a collaborator added to a legal request, you have the same degree of access as the assignee to work on the legal request. However, you can't modify the Assigned to, Assignment group, and Assignment group permission fields.
- Navigate to All > Legal Request > Legal Counsel Center.
- Click the list icon (
- In the Lists tab, open a legal request by selecting an option under Legal Requests.
Option Steps As an assignee - Select the Assigned to Me option.
- Select a request to work on.
- If the request is newly assigned to you, select Start to start working on the request.
The state of the legal request updates to Work in Progress.
As a collaborator - Select the Collaborations option.
- Select a request to work on.
- To promote the legal request to a legal matter, click Create Matter.
- In the Create Matter dialog, indicate whether to use a template to create a legal matter.
- To create a legal matter record with predefined data, such as phases and tasks, select a template name from the Matter template list, and click OK.
- To create a legal matter record without any predefined data, leave the Matter template field empty and click OK.
Result
- A legal matter is created with details copied from the legal request.
- You (a legal fulfiller or a collaborator) will be added in the Watch list of the legal matter to access it.
- If you selected a matter template, then the matter has predefined phases, tasks, and attributes from the template.
- If the external storage option is enabled, the documents attached to the legal request and stored in the configured external storage are listed under the Documents tab of the legal matter's Artifact record.
Note: Since the documents in the artifact created from the requests are shared, the addition or deletion of any documents in this shared artifact is reflected in both request and matter. Also, the document permission for this shared artifact is managed at the legal request level and not at the legal matter level.

1. check if you have a matter management plugin installed
2. you have to add an assignment group with a legal fulfiller role or if you are following now learning course you must have a Legal Department group.
3. Now create matter option will appear
