So you are saying its not possible to get a view we used to get when we open a knowledge base page?

As of now that specific mega menu item contains quick link and few catalog item and I wanted them to show related Knowledge base.

Regarding the menu item which appears on the header menu we can only add one item and if we add more than one so it just creates dropdown, is there any other way to keep more items on header menu without dropdown?

Thank you for your assistance, is there any other way to achieve this requirement?

Hi @Gaurav Rotke1,

I believe you are wanting to redirect multiple mega menu items to their respective Knowledge articles/ bases.

Please refer the screenshots for more details.

You can achieve this in two ways.
One is by creating just one menu item and adding all your sub-items in it which will appear in the form of dropdown. For ex. 5 items will appear in a dropdown beneath that one menu item.

Second is, if you don't want the sub-items to be appearing in the form of dropdown, you can simply create separate menu items directly on the menu header itself. For ex. you can redirect every menu item from the header menu to the desired link.

Here's how you can create those menus -
1. Type menu in filter navigator and Open 'Menus' under service portal.
2. Open the required record, in your case 'Employee Center Menu'.
3. Scroll down to menu items where you can create new menu items.
4. Once you click on the new button, by selecting the 'Type' field, you can redirect the menu item directly to the following locations - Specific page, URL, Service Catalog, Catalog category, catalog item, Knowledge base, knowledge topic, knowledge article, knowledge base category, filtered list, scripted list.
5. You can either select URL, in 'HREF/URL' field where you can mention the URL for the  knowledge article or you can also select Knowledge article and in 'Knowledge Article' field, select your desired article.
6. If you select type as URL, through 'URL target' field you can set if you want the URL to be opened in the same tab or new tab.
7. You can also specify some conditions in the 'Conditions' field. For ex. if you want to hide the menu item for some users.

Hi @Gaurav Rotke1 ,

Worth just pointing out that Employee Center at the moment doesn't really anticipate more than the OOTB configurations for the Header Menu.

So if you add more items to the menu, the alignment doesn't always behave as you would want. And can require some additional customisation.

Thanks for your inputs @Shreya Wani
